Theme & Plugin Installation

After Purchasing the Theme When you download the .zip file at first unzip it to show all content.

Following items are Included in the package:

  • Fodstar.zip

These particular .zip files should remain zipped.

Theme Installation via WordPress

Login to your WordPress Site & Go to your Admin Dashboard.

Follow the Follow steps:

  • Navigate to Appearance > Themes
  • Click the “Add New” button > Click the “Upload Theme” button at the top.
  • Click “Choose File” > find your zipped “Fodstar.zip” > Click the“Install Now” button
  • Final step click on Activate theme

Theme Installation Via FTP

If you can’t install the theme via WordPress Dashboard, try this method

Follow the Follow steps:

  • Log in to your server via your FTP software ( FileZilla, Transmit, etc )
  • Unzip the Fodstar.zip file, ONLY use the extracted theme folder.
  • Upload the extracted theme folder into wp-content > themes
  • Activate the newly installed theme by going to Appearance > Themes

Installing Required/Recommended Plugins

After you have activated the theme , you will find a notice at the top of the screen. This notice warns you about plugins that are required and recommended to be installed along with the theme.

Click on Begin installing plugins to install/active the plugins one by one. Its the easiest way to install all the required plugins.

Follow the Follow steps:

  • Navigate to Appearance > Plugins
  • Select all the plugins in the list and choose Install from the dropdown menu, then click Apply.
  • After all the plugins are installed. Re-select all of them and choose Active from the dropdown menu, then click Apply.

To enable user registration on your website, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.

  • Navigate to “Settings” > “General”:

    • From the left-hand menu, click on Settings, then select General.
  • Enable Registration:

    • In the “General Settings” page, locate the option “Membership”.
    • Check the box that says “Anyone can register”.
  • Set the Default Role:

    • Below the membership option, you’ll see “New User Default Role”.
    • Select the default role for new users (typically Subscriber for most sites).
  • Save Changes:

    • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Save Changes button.
